Joanne Godson's career in Human Resources spans over 15 years with time spent in both the public and private sector. She began her career in the Health Service, during which time she studied for her Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development qualification, graduating in 1993.
Joanne spent 5 years working in the private sector covering businesses in retail, warehousing and logistics and manufacturing prior to becoming a People Management Consultant in 2001, when she also successfully completed her assessment to become a Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Working with clients of all sizes and from a variety of sectors, Joanne advises on the full range of people
management issues, whether it be addressing a specific staffing issue, managing a HR or employment law related project or proactively introducing bespoke systems and processes that will assist businesses in ensuring that their people really are their greatest asset.
Joanne actively participated in the government consultation on the maternity and paternity rights legislation prior to its introduction as part of the Employment Act in 2002.
